ID Services and Life Skills Case Workers will collaborate with partner organizations to identify individuals looking for employment readiness skills. The CSPC’s LEAP project will work directly with individuals to guide them through a pre-employment readiness program.

Core Duties:
ID Services and Life Skills Case Worker:

- Supporting clients in understanding and prioritizing their identification needs
- Explaining the process of securing identification and how we can (and can’t) help.
- Helping identify additional client needs and working with service providers to create networks of collaborative support for clients.
- Liaising with partner staff to coordinate services for mutual clients.
- Following-up with clients and other service providers to ensure client needs are met.
- Conducting case management follow-up interviews and support with clients.
- Conducting program evaluation interviews and providing input on data collection.
- Maintaining client and team confidentiality in records and communication
- Implement support strategies that help develop participants skills towards employment readiness.
- Assist participants with development of life skills such as maintaining personal hygiene, making and keeping appointments, and interpersonal skills (demonstrating and modelling appropriate actions)
- Establish a dignified and purposeful relationship with participants by getting to know the participant as a unique individual with specific interests and needs.
- One-on-One support to assist participants in developing and reaching pre-employment goals.
- Determine available options for each participant based on participants’ goals, needs, and potential for long-term success.
- Monitor participants' progress, provide positive and constructive feedback.
- Provide support and coaching for specific job duties.
- Assist participant with community integration opportunities and attend with participant a wide range of community services and certification workshops.
- Provide referrals to advanced employment training services.
- Gather statistical project data for LEAP requirements.

Education/Qualifications:

- An undergraduate or bachelor's from a recognized post-secondary institution in Social Work, Human Services, Health Sciences, or other related discipline. A relevant two-year diploma plus extensive experience in a related field may also be considered.
- Experience providing services for marginalized, low-income populations.
- Comfort in working online with strong computer and communication skills.
- Clear criminal records check.

- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
