**Employment Dates**:
June 3rd - August 23rd, 2024

An additional week may be available at the end of August for setup work for the new school year.

**Salary**:
$3,000 per month

**Working Hours**:
10 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday

+ Saturday 29th June

**Job Summary: Camp Operations Coordinator**
Pear Tree Education is seeking a dedicated Camp Operations Coordinator to support the logistics and operational needs of our summer camps. This role is critical in ensuring that all camp locations are equipped with the necessary materials and that these materials are correctly transported and organized. This position is ideal for a university student on summer break who is organized, proactive, and interested in gaining valuable logístical and operational experience in an educational setting.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Materials Coordination**:Pack, unpack, and organize materials needed for each camp course at multiple locations.
- **Transportation Management**:Transport materials between five camp locations on one or two specific days each week, according to the needs of each camp location. This includes scheduling, route planning, and ensuring timely delivery.
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain an inventory of all materials and equipment. Ensure that items are accounted for and in good condition before and after camps.
- **Setup and Breakdown**:Assist in the setup and breakdown of camp materials each week. Ensure that each camp site is ready for students and staff.
- **Purchase Management**:Responsible for purchasing additional supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and proper budget management.
- **Vendor Coordination**:Liaise with delivery companies to ensure that camp setup equipment is transported correctly and efficiently to the appropriate locations.
- **Team Collaboration**:Work closely with camp staff to ensure smooth operation of camp activities and address any logístical challenges.
- **Reporting**:Regularly update management on the status of camp operations, including any issues or concerns that need immediate attention.

**Training**:
Training will be provided at the beginning of your employment to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to be effective in the role.

This will include training in logistics, inventory control, and vendor coordination, ensuring you are fully prepared for your role.

**What you’ll need**:

- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a university program, preferably in business, management, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in logistics or event coordination is a plus.
- A criminal record check will be processed (paid for by us), since you will be working around children.

**Working Conditions**:

- The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with travel between multiple camp locations.

You will be answerable to our Operations Assistant, as well as the Pear Tree directors, Alexis Birner and Paul Romani.
