We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our **Regulatory Affairs Coordina**tor.**

**Position Summary/Objective**:
**Key Accountabilities and Activities**:

- Demonstrate Riverside Core Values at all times.
- Provide support to Quality, R&D, Marketing, Sales and other internal partners on regulatory matters; recommend options and implement solutions to resolve problems using food science, nutrition and regulatory knowledge.
- Proactively takes **OWNERSHIP** to identify potential regulatory hitches and acts collaboratively, to reduce or eliminate them.
- Prepare and communicate technical / regulatory information related to our product portfolio to our customer base to address inquiries via Microsoft Office or Customer/Vendor Software.
- Participate in ingredient and artwork review and approval to ensure it meets formula and regulatory requirements of destination market.
- Interacts with external organizations to ensure timely compliance with all set criteria, including but not limited to: Gluten Free, Kosher, Non-GMO, Organic, Vegan, RSPO and other programs; keeping databases and backups up-to-date and accurate.
- Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of domestic and international regulations related to food safety, packaging and labelling for product portfolio.
- E.g., FDA, Health Canada, International regulations as required
- Create and maintain Product Label Reports for all food products (branded and customer).
- Keeps the work atmosphere** FUN** by keeping it light and welcoming.
- Assist other departments as required.

**Reporting Relationships**

The position reports directly to the Regulatory Affairs Manager. It has no direct reports.

**Qualifications**:

- Science Degree or Diploma (Preference for specialization in Nutrition/Food Science/Regulatory Affairs).
- ** PASSIONATE** and working knowledge of domestic and global food labeling regulations.
- Expertise in R&D Genesis (or equivalent Food Formulation Software) and Microsoft Office.
- Skill to research regulatory issues and lead/influence resolution.
- Ability to be persuasive, assertive while also being collaborative with diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with follow through abilities.
- Must be self-starter, organized, detail oriented and be able to prioritize tasks.
- Aptitude to exhibit, **RESPECT** and protect Riverside’s Core Values in a changing environment.
- Positive attitude with a desire to learn and collaborate.
- Understanding of food qualities, nutritional content, interactions and processing methods
