**Team & Job Overview**

Efficient AR management aims to optimize the recovery of payments for services provided. Our goal is to reduce processing costs while simultaneously nurturing positive customer relations. This will involve implementing strategies and technologies that streamline the payment collection process. The AR team plays a pivotal role in monitoring and managing overdue payments to safeguard against bad debt. This entails employing measures to assess and minimize delinquent accounts and taking proactive steps to collect outstanding invoices. Invoicing is a fundamental responsibility of the AR department. We are tasked with the creation and delivery of invoices to customers, which serve as important financial documents, both for the customer and EDC. Clear, accurate and transparent invoicing practices facilitate smoother transactions, foster trust between both parties, and contribute to improved cash flow management.

A paramount goal of the AR function is to enhance the overall payment experience for customers. Achieving this objective involves the strategic implementation of technologies and approaches that streamline payments, ensuring they are convenient, transparent and devoid of hassles.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Examine AR transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and AR policy/guidelines
- Tracking of overdue payments and mitigating bad debt
- Maximize payment recovery
- Streamlined invoicing for clarity and transparency
- Diligent dunning and collections management
- Elevating the customer payment experience
- Developing standardized operating procedures
- Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, financial statements and reports
- Identify solutions and recommend modifications to internal processes and payment infrastructure
- Handle customer inquiries and escalations

**Screening Criteria**
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or in a related field or combination of College diploma and relevant work experience
- Minimum 2 - 5 years experience in finance operations and/or accounts receivables

**Assets**
- Bilingualism (English and French)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, PeopleSoft and PowerBI.
- Professional Designation (e.g. CPA)
- Experience in Customer Service

**Salary Range**

Finance Operations 15: Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from:

- Accounts Receivable Specialist 15 - Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $62,336 - $83,115 plus a performance-based incentive
- Accounts Receivable Specialist 16 - Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $71,063 - $94,751 plus a performance-based incentive
- Accounts Receivable Specialist 17 - Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $81,012 - $108,016. plus a performance-based incentive

**Location**
- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role will be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa
