**Responsibilities**:

- Assure that employees fully understand their roles in the manufacturing process and their responsibility to the established systems and regulations. Where understanding is lacking, work collaboratively with applicable departments to identify training requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of company policies as well as their accompanying programs and procedures, promoting a culture of safety and systems compliance.
- Responsible for contributing to a safe work environment by following and reiterating our company's 'Health & Safety' and 'Environmental' Policy. This includes promoting shop floor compliance to proper PPE, WHMIS, hazardous materials storage, waste reduction and hazardous waste disposal practices.
- Promote shop floor housekeeping and equipment calibration (ie. Daily Pre-Start Check Lists).
- Work closely with department leads and machine lead hands to properly train operators on production procedures, the work order system, lot reporting, using measuring devices and reading/understanding drawings.
- Use measuring devices (caliper, height gauge, venire etc.) and ensure the proper use of such instruments by operators on the floor to confirm conformity of incoming material and outgoing product.
- Achieve a full understanding of the products, prioritizing quality manufacturing by ensuring that applicable QA systems are applied and followed. This includes standard quality checks through all stages of production (Material, WIP, Finished Good, Packaged/Ready to Ship).
- Communicate production standards and identify part defects/deviations, following the proper protocol for documenting NCRs (ie. ICS documentation, forms, isolating parts for rework/analysis).

**Skills**:

- Manufacturing Experience (required)
- Previous leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
- Possesses leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide and support others, setting an example for team members
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Systems knowledge with the desire to learn and develop expertise
- Prior experience in implementing management systems on a shopfloor
- Analytical and speaks with data
- Creative thinker with the ability to measure, maintain, audit and report system outputs

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
