**JOB SUMMARY**

The Inclusive Education Coordinator oversees inclusive education, assessment, and the referral of students to specialists. The Coordinator works with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) to coordinate inclusive education programs and programming needs for all Tsuut’ina students. The Coordinator uses the best practices of inclusive education in Tsuut’ina schools to meet the development needs of students.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Communicates with principals and teaching staff so that staff are informed of student progress and programming needs.
- Attends and/or coordinates interagency meetings and works with specialists and parents to support student needs.
- Attends ISC Inclusive Education meetings and reports inclusive education progresses.
- Acts as resource person for inclusive education and literacy programming for students with diverse needs and student achievement.
- Works with inclusive education teachers, students, parents, and specialists to provide the best possible programming for students with diverse needs.
- Writes proposals and reports to ISC and the Tsuut’ina Education Department to access funds for education.
- Assists with Nominal Roll.
- Assists teachers with Individual Program Plans (IPP) and/or inclusive education student programming.
- Works with student literacy programs.
- Writes annual inclusive education reports to ISC and the Director of Education.
- Attend monthly meetings with principals, the director, and ISC as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the director.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum Requirements:

- Cover letter and resume
- Current letter of references (3)
- Valid Teaching Certificate
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Driver’s License
- Abilities Required:

- Reliable
- Success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Ability to work effectively as an active team member in cooperation with instructional resource personnel, and students
