**Job Summary**

Reporting to the Controller, the **Accounts Payable Supervisor** will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the accounts payable function within our finance department. You will be responsible for leading a team of accounts payable specialists, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and lead a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment disbursement.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by reconciling accounts payable transactions and maintaining appropriate documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies, clarify issues, and facilitate timely invoice processing.
- Monitor aging reports and vendor statements to ensure timely payments and proactively address any issues or concerns.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating payment terms and resolving payment-related inquiries or disputes.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Assist with requested documentation for interim and annual audits.
- Implement process improvements and best practices to streamline accounts payable operations and enhance efficiency.
- Ad hoc reporting/projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or relevant finance roles, with a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to accounts payable functions.
- Proficiency in using accounting software (Jonas) and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
