**About Our Opportunity**:
As the Registrar you will be responsible for the administration of the day to day operations of all technical training, upgrade, refresher, and examination preparation training courses funded by the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency.
You will ensure the registration of clients for technical training, monitor class registrations and consult with training providers and the Manager, Programs to recommend increases in class size, or create additional courses to accommodate technical training demand.
You will be responding to technical training and financial incentive inquiries from apprentices and employers and manage federal and provincial incentive programs for Apprentices progression and completion, ensure records of progress are issued to apprentices confirming completion of required technical training for eligibility for incentive programs and assist the Manager, Programs with preliminary training budget preparations, processes invoices and respond to inquiries from the CEO and COO in addition to other related duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Manager, Programs.

At the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency, we work to provide Apprenticeship training leading to Certification in the Skilled Trades for all Nova Scotians. We have offices throughout Nova Scotia in Halifax, Bridgewater, Kentville, Yarmouth, Truro, Port Hawkesbury, New Glasgow and Sydney.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
Key responsibilities may include:
- Manage the annual technical training schedule by allocating seats to apprentices, attends planning meetings with the training providers and, in collaboration with the training providers, Manager, Programs and Agency staff, determines the number technical training weeks required, including dates, location and capacity.
- Coordinates the preparation and distribution of training confirmation for apprentices and employers by ensuring that each apprentice and their employer receive communication informing them of their training dates and location.
- Ensures class registration lists are provided to training providers, Service Canada and Training Consultants.
- Ensure attendance and course-ending examination results for both in-class and online training are accurately recorded prepares and provide reports and statistics on all technical training and costs of training including progress records for apprentices and provide reports to the Manager, CEO and COO to assist in planning for technical training and budget preparations and operation requirements.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
This may be the right opportunity for you if you have completed high school with 4 years of related experience, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
You thrive working in a fast-paced environment demonstrating sound judgement and initiative. You are comfortable working independently with mínimal supervision. You effectively multi-task and approach your work with objectivity and confidentiality. You possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with experience in WordPerfect, Excel and other software packages. You have demonstrated experience interpreting and analyzing data.
