**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual for the position of Director, Learning & Design, with a specific focus on the Life Sciences sector. As the Director, you will lead our learning and design initiatives, spearheading the development and delivery of high-quality, impactful learning programs and materials tailored to the needs of various stakeholders in commercial learning and development, medical affairs, market access, patient services and others. This pivotal role demands a blend of strong leadership, strategic vision, and a passion for crafting innovative learning solutions that drive performance and business outcomes.
The Director is also expected to serve as a thought leader in the Life Sciences education space, influencing best practices, innovating learning strategies, and setting industry benchmarks for excellence. Your vision and expertise will play a pivotal role in our organization's thought leadership, shaping the future of Life Sciences learning and establishing our company as an example of innovation and educational excellence in the field.
**Responsibilities**:
- Champion the strategic direction and execution of learning and design initiatives, with a particular emphasis on innovative, science-based training programs that address unique challenges and opportunities.
- Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive range of learning solutions, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies to create impactful learning experiences.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of learning projects, from initial needs analysis through to implementation and evaluation, ensuring excellence in execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead the continuous improvement of learning programs, incorporating feedback, benchmarking against industry standards, and staying at the forefront of learning technologies and methodologies.
- Guide and mentor the learning and design team, cultivating a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
- Remain actively engaged with the latest trends and developments in both the fields of learning and development and the Life Sciences industry, leveraging insights to drive forward-thinking learning strategies.
**Job Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education technology, or a related field; Graduate degree strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design and learning development, with a significant portion of this experience within the Life Sciences, healthcare, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing diverse learning programs, with a portfolio that includes advanced e-learning, blended learning solutions, and instructor-led training.
- In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and the ability to leverage emerging technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, evidenced by a track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary learning and design teams.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively across functions to align learning strategies with business goals.
