**The Role**

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented **Marketing & Communications Specialist **to conceptualize and develop written and visual content for projects across the company’s departments - i.e. multimedia production, graphic design, marketing and rebranding strategies, web and digital learning. The Marketing and Communications Specialist reports to the Senior Producer, and for relevant projects, to the Director of Digital Learning Initiatives. The role involves:
**For a range of projects company-wide**:
Marketing and communications analysis and strategy (30%)
- Conduct research and data analysis to understand client marketing campaign goals and performance.
- Develop marketing and advertising plans including: identifying and targeting key audiences (including hard-to-reach groups), developing key messages, conceptualizing creative strategy, identifying deliverables and measurable objectives.
- Implement performance-enhancing tools and techniques including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), media strategy, planning and buying - online and offline - in particular on social media platforms.
- Identify and implement performance measurement and attribution strategies to measure campaign impact.

Written and graphic content creation (30%)
- Review and analyze materials provided by clients to determine writing and visual approach for different styles of media and communication products.
- Create written materials including video scripts, website content, social media posts, press releases, articles, brochures, reports, infographics.
- In collaboration with the design team, develop and create visual content for various purposes (e.g. communications, marketing, education, etc).
- Edit written materials, including: substantive or structural editing, stylistic editing, rewriting, copy editing, and proofreading.

**For a portfolio of marketing and communications projects**:
Project conceptualization, planning and implementation (25%)
- In collaboration with the Senior Producer and other team members as relevant, lead the conceptualization and planning of projects based on clients’ needs and objectives.
- In collaboration with the Production Manager, create project scope, timelines and detailed schedules to ensure efficient delivery of work.
- Create and maintain open channels of communication with internal and external team members using project management tools to ensure a smooth project flow.
- Manage project execution and quality control from development to delivery, providing feedback to the creative team.

Client communications (15%)
- Lead regular communications with clients for assigned projects with efficiency, clarity and diplomacy, in collaboration with the Production Manager.
- Proactively raise any client-related concern to the Senior Producer, and where needed, the Director of Digital Learning Initiatives.

**What You Bring to the Table**
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the marketing and communications sector. Experience in multimedia media production is an asset.
- You have experience with advocacy and impact campaigns.
- You have a proven track record of harnessing analytics to create and adapt marketing and communication campaigns, including social media campaigns.
- You are a clear, effective and persuasive copywriter.
- You have a good eye for aesthetics and a strong understanding of graphic design.
- You have experience managing multiple projects with tight timelines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You are a self-starter, love to solve problems and to learn from challenges.
- You are comfortable working with interdisciplinary creative and tech
