**Position Summary**

**Duties**
- Be engaged in research full-time (1.0 FTE)
- The coordination and delivery of both in-person and virtual exercise testing and training related to exercise-based research in cirrhosis and other chronic diseases
- Develop and implement research and evaluation protocols and be responsible for day to day administrative functions of assigned research studies
- Evaluates the effectiveness of specific interventions in relation to identified participant outcomes
- Develop theoretically-rich manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Be able to work independently
- Be able to supervise research assistants and summer students

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology: Certified Clinical Exercise Professional (CSEP-CEP) or equivalent
- PhD (completed within the last 5 years)
- Excellent time management skills and able to work in a self-directed manner within an interdisciplinary environment
- Advanced ability to use statistical packages such as SPSS or STATA etc.
- Strong team player
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in scientific writing
- Strong track record of scholarly activities including publication of research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience working within Alberta Health Services is an asset
- Experience working in a clinical setting with individuals with chronic disease is an asset
- Experience in development and management of REDCap databases is an asset
- Experience delivering exercise programming virtually in an eHealth environment is an asset
- Experience in implementation science and digital technology interventions is an asset
- Experience in coordination of randomized controlled trial interventions is an asset
