**POSITION**:Liaison Officer for Apprenticeship Support Project**
**LOCATION: FPDI Sub Office - Winnipeg, Manitoba**
**CLOSING DATE: February 15, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.**

The Liaison Officer will support strategic partnerships by providing advice, facilitating knowledge management and providing technical assistance in project planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting. The Liaison Officer will act as the key contact for designated SMEs, Trade Schools and Colleges, and Apprentices participating in the Apprenticeship Support Project.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of FPDI and more specifically the objective of the

Apprenticeship Support Project
- Develop and foster relationships with external partners (SMEs, Trade Schools, Apprenticeship

Branch and individuals)
- Collaborate and communicate with external parties to build a solid foundation for the project
- Compile reports. Collect, analyze and use data and feedback to identify opportunities.
- Proactively solve conflicts and address issues that may arise
- Act as a positive representative for the FPDI Apprenticeship Support Project
- Assist in completion of contracts between SMEs and first year Apprentices

**EXPERIENCE**
Education
- A certificate in Business Administration or Communications or demonstrated relevant experience
- Minimum of two years of experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent working knowledge about Apprenticeship Programs
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use relevant software
- Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative to solve challenges
- Ability to establish and nurture relationships. Customer-oriented attitude
- Ability to negotiate with and influence others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and often high-pressure environment
- Valid driver's license. Willing to travel.
