Accounting Manager

We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager for our head office in Richmond hill, consisting of approximately 25 full time office personnel. Reporting to the Vice President and working alongside our General Manager, our accounting team and project teams. Culture, collaboration and communication are keys for success. We have outlined this role listing the main tasks but not limited to as, it is an ever evolving position as our company grows.
**General Accounting**
- Manage and supervise all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations
- Train, oversee and management of Accounting Clerk(s)
- Manage and process all vendor/ subcontract payments
- Coordinate, review and submit monthly progress billing invoices for up to 100+ construction projects
- Manage and process company payroll
- Review and report compliance filings for all government taxes
- Coordinate and manage employee Benefits and RRSP programs and associated payments
- Carry out bank reconciliations
- Point of contact for 3rd party accountants
- Coordinate and maintain link between construction (Procore) and accounting (Quickbooks) software
- Support the accurate and timely execution of statutory declarations
- Support staff with requested financial analysis
- Primary QuickBooks contact
- Responsible for banking transactions at local branch
- Supervise and cross reference accounts payable entries in QuickBooks generated from construction management software
**Planning / Controlling**
- Prepare and manage master budget for company expenses and identify any discrepancies for review with senior management
- Prepare and manage the production of quarterly reports and forecasts for the fiscal year and review with the executive team
- Prepare year end projections and reports for the 3rd party accountants
- Maintain cash flow management and perform monthly cash flow reports
- Work with 3rdparty accountants to prepare year-end financials
- Assist the Principals and Vice President with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Support and manage implementation of Construction Management and ERP software
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial and accounting policies and procedures
**Qualifications**
- Post secondary degree or diploma in accounting or related field
- 5+ years in a managerial role in accounting
- Self-starter, demonstrates strong ownership, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
This is an IN-office position.
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
