**What you’ll do**
- Coordinate and support the delivery of the OsteoFit Program within budgeted resources. This includes researching, recruiting and training OsteoFit instructors and evaluators, securing locations, advertising for instructor and evaluator training courses and delivering training courses as required.
- Monitor program performance including monitoring the performance of the OsteoFit instructors and evaluators where possible and defining areas for improvement to ensure performance standards are maintained. Provide input to Program Manager regarding educational needs of the instructors and evaluators and develop plans for continuing education programs such as establishing new topics and recruiting presenters.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and interdisciplinary team members regarding program issues and planning. This may include review of the OsteoFit Curriculum or the quality of OsteoFit instruction. Explores and develop potential partnerships to ensure program sustainability by liaising with other organizations with respect to the delivery of the service or the certification of the instructors.
- Assist the Program Manager in developing the budget for the OsteoFit Program and monitors expenditures to ensure adherence to funding.
- Provide public information sessions/forums/workshops to increase awareness of the program. Prepares, maintains and distributes marketing and communication resources such as the OsteoFit website, webmail, phone line, program brochures, posters and facilities listings etc.
- Conduct evaluations, surveys, develops metrics and compiles data for measurement of client participation and health improvements resulting from OsteoFit classes. Review data to make recommendations for continued improvement to the program.

**What you bring**

**Qualifications**:
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to Baccalaureate Degree in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology or related discipline and two (2) year’s recent, related experience working with an elderly/geriatric population and one (1) year’s experience in program coordination in a complex regional or provincial environment. Appropriate registrations to enable independence of work function such as BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), Group Fitness, Weight training and Third Age, Trainer of Fitness Leaders (TFL), and Supervisor of Fitness Leaders (SFL).

Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels of the organization and with partners in other health centres, community agencies and institutions. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong leadership skills and independent decision making abilities.
- Self directed and highly motivated with excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate related equipment including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs at an intermediate level.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
