Science Program Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:
**Program Coordination**:

- Collaborate with the program development team to understand the objectives, content, and logistics of science programs.
- Coordinate program schedules, resources, and logistics to ensure smooth implementation.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

**Business Management**:

- Develop and manage budgets for science programs, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Work closely with external vendors to process invoices, monitor expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to the growth of business.

**Registration and Enrollment**:

- Oversee the registration process for program participants, ensuring accuracy of information and timely completion.
- Provide support to participants and external partners, such as addressing inquiries related to program logistics, fees, and registration requirements.

**Event Planning**:

- Coordinate logistics for program events, including venue selection, program requirements (room size, projector screens, and rules and regulations).
- Work with the marketing team to promote programs to other cities and recreation centres and track attendance.
- Prepare and distribute course materials and project kits throughout each course term.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, financial transactions, and participant information including waivers and registration numbers.
- Prepare regular reports on program performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in program coordination, event planning, or business administration.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for science education and a commitment to promoting STEM initiatives.
- Experience with Google Suite and Slack an asset
