We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team.
**Job Overview**
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and/or executing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive traffic to our Shopville web store. This role requires a combination of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of social media trends and tools, particularly within the gaming and pop-culture communities.
**Key Responsibilities**
Strategy Development:
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns and regularly report on their performance.
Content Creation:
- Create, curate, and manage engaging and high-quality content across all social media platforms, including text, image, and video.
- Collaborate with Creative Director to produce visually appealing content.
Community Management:
- Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and feedback.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages promptly, and manage online communities to foster positive relationships.
Campaign Management:
- Working with the Brand and Creative Director, plan and execute social media campaigns to promote our brand, products, and special offers.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize social media analytics tools to track performance, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly reports on social media metrics and campaign performance.
Trend Analysis:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Provide recommendations for new approaches and tactics to stay ahead in the social media landscape, particularly within the gaming and pop-culture niches.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing, PR, and customer service teams to ensure brand consistency and effective communication.
- Coordinate with influencers and brand ambassadors to enhance reach and engagement.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-3+ years of experience in social media management or a similar role, preferably in the e-commerce or entertainment sector.
- Proven track record of following, creating and implementing successful social media strategies.
- Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and management tools and related tools. (Hootsuite, Planoly, Canva, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Experience with paid social media advertising is a plus.
- Passion for video games, movies, and pop-culture is highly desirable.
