Job Title**:Human Resources (HR) Coordinator**
Location: St. John's, NL
Position Type: 1 full-time position
Closing Date: July 11, 2023

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Human Resources Manager, the **HR Coordinator** will be responsible for facilitating all key HR functions and programs of the ANC. This includes issues raised by employees and matters related to employment, compensation and benefits, labor negotiations, employee relations as well as performance management and training. The highly motivated individual is a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills who will maintain confidential employee data and provide organizational support to enhance the strategic objectives of the Human Resources department.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Respond to general inquiries from management and employees regarding HR policies, vacation entitlement, absenteeism, etc.
- Conduct research and make recommendations for HR best practices. Raise awareness within the organization via presentations and follow-up meetings to reinforce current HR practices or launch new practices/ policies
- Update and maintain the employee working guide aligned with relevant legislation and internal policies
- Reinforce consistency on HR policies and procedures throughout the organization and recommended solutions to managers and employees
- Provide day-to-day operational advice, consultation, and support in the areas of recruitment, performance management, coaching, and employee engagement
- Compile & deliver human resources reporting and analysis
- Identify, develop, and offer training in the use of online resources and technologies to support organizational development
- Organize registration, training schedules, maintain communication with participants and division heads throughout the training cycle
- Liaise with external stakeholders for training and development programs
- Analyse training outcomes and prepare consolidated reports at the end of each training program as well as maintain training records.
- Continually monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed
- Champion the Performance Development Plan (PDP) program designed to review performance and encourage two-way communication around performance and development.
- Communicate cycle phases and provide assistance to employees in timely completing the different components on the plan
- Consolidate, and assess outcomes of the PDP program and advice recommendations
- Forecast training and development needs and proactively develop plans for the forthcoming year
- Conduct refreshment, follow-up, and awareness sessions on the PDP cycle
- Perform administrative tasks and other duties as required

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience with 5-7 years related experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Profound understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures; and local legislation.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Experience in BambooHR or any HRIS will be an asset.

**Conditions of Employment**
- Flexibility to work outside the standard core hours (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5 pm)
