We are seeking an **HR Consultant** with progressive experience in employee and/or labour relations. The Consultant is a critical member of the Equity & People team, providing Vancity leaders and employees with proactive, consultative advice that enables the organization to achieve it’s goals.

This is an 18-month contract position.

**As someone who is passionate about supporting our Vancity team to thrive and bring their full selves to work every day you will**:

- Work as part of a dynamic Equity & People Consulting team
- Support leaders to create work environments where diverse backgrounds, culture and attributes are celebrated through collaboration with experts and partners in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Reconciliation.
- Provide coaching to leaders and employees regarding Equity & People programs (e.g., performance coaching, collective agreement interpretation, workplace accommodations, and terminations/severance negotiations).
- Advise and coach leaders in the optimization and implementation of organization design principles, guidelines, and tools and make recommendations regarding the organization of work and talent.
- Provide advice, guidance, and change management support to internal clients in support of projects/initiatives, which have an impact on employees.
- Partner with Equity & People leadership and centers of excellence (Organizational Wellness and Leadership, Total Rewards, DEIR and Talent Acquisition) on program design to support organization wide deliverables
- Review and evolve policies as needed.
- Conduct investigations

**Qualifying metrics**:

- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with significant experience in employee and/or labour relations.
- Demonstrated experience providing direction to Legal Counsel in arbitration, human rights and other employment related matters.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills. You are a problem solver and influencer who gets great satisfaction in being a true consultant.

**You report to**:

- This role reports into the Senior Business Partner, Equity & People and works alongside a team of Equity and People professionals in Consultant roles supporting dedicated areas of the business**.**

**Salary Range: $**81,200.00** to $**122,000.00**
