ABB's Measurement & Analytics division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers. With thousands of experts around the world and high-performance digital technology, ABB's team is dedicated to making measurement easy for its industrial and energy customers to let them operate more efficiently and profitably. The position is acting in the Product Management group, under the direction of the Global Product Line Manager. You will drive the Global Product Line strategy across the Business Line Analytical Sales organization to increase market share. You will set goals with the Sales organization and implement the PL market strategy through the PL global market teams. You will work with Sales and support them through the entire sales process, including bids and proposals, to target the right market segments and establish the right sales coverage with the required technical knowledge to increase our product and services market share. For this position, you will be understanding the full potential of our products and the trends of the market where they are used. In addition, helping customers all over the world increase public safety and improve efficiency and save limited resources gives our work a powerful sense of purpose. You will drive long-term profitable growth of ABB’s comprehensive market globally within the Industrial Automation Measurement and Analytics Business Line.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Participate in the Product Line strategy definition with the Product Line Managers. With your PL market management team, establish goals and KPI’s with the Sales organizations to implement this strategy at the PL level through local sales plans and support their execution. Work with sales on market penetration actions including AVLs for focused accounts and target OEMs. Own and drive the forecasting process for the product lines. Work with Sales to continuously improve market coverage for the product line in the respective clusters.
- Analyze customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by local Sales organization. Provide input to product management to establish competitive product pricing. Ensure efficient marketing actions (e.g. product launches) and communication to local Sales organizations and customers and communicates the value proposition of the products, systems, service and packages.
- Lead your PL market management team to support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers as well as ensuring that technical sales support is available. Lead the bids and proposal PL team to ensure quick response and competitive offers. Provide technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offer product/solution/service-related training. Work with the Sales organizations to meet and exceed volume, mix and profitability targets for your Global product line. Manage discount requests according to your Table of Authority. Ensure that Sales is trained and qualified for the products under your mandate. Engaged in global sales pursuits for your product line.
- Take ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution. Responsible for analyzing lost proposals to increase future competitiveness.
- Responsible for both the long-term growth plans and the yearly budgets at the PL level. Perform regular reviews with your PL area market managers, PLM’s and Sales to track progress and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls. Provide quote activity reports. Manages bid and proposal teams. Request country sales forecasts and provide consolidated PL forecasts to factories to ensure proper production planning.
- Demonstrates ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.
- Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
- Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.
- Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.

**Your background**:

- A university degree (BS, MS, Ph.D.) in engineering, business or other relevant field required.
- More than 5 years of experience in Product Management or Product Development, working a
