**Manager of Philanthropy and Programs**

Facilitated Improvement for Corporate Success (FICS) seeks an experienced Manager of Philanthropy and Programs to oversee and manage effective donor relationships and implementation of international development projects for our client, Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief (CPAR). CPAR is Canadian charity that manages programs in Ethiopia, Malawi, and Tanzania focussed on health system strengthening, including sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and nutrition and agriculture.

This is a full-time employment opportunity with a salary range of between $65 - 75,000 CAD per year, with benefits.

**Responsibilities**
- **Leading Growth**_
- Represents CPAR with relationship-building with potential and existing donors, foundations, public funding organizations. potential partners, and other stakeholder organizations
- Collaborates to implement the Strategic Plan to meet revenue goals, including maintenance of current funding streams, and establishment of new funding streams.
- Works with the Country Program Coordinator, the Country Offices and the Canadian team, to develop and submit high quality, high impact proposals and timely project reports and acknowledgements to donors and foundations.
- **Project Management**_
- Supports Country Coordinator(s) and Country Offices in project management and institutes management tools and processes to ensure revenues and expenditures conform with program budget, funding-specific financial constraints, and expenditure plans.
- Oversees project management including human resources and logistics in collaboration with the Country Coordinator and Country Program Managers. Identifies deficiencies in the project management process and implements actions for resolution.
- Tracks, reviews and writes program reports in collaboration with project and field staff.
- Performs analytical work and reporting related to budget tracking, project goals, key performance indicators and measures and project impact.
- **Promoting Philanthropy**_
- Work closely with senior management in developing a strategic fundraising plan including donor acquisition and retention strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with Foundations and high-level donors
- Investigate and identify prospective funding sources
- Develop fundraising campaigns, including direct mail and social media strategies to support their success
- Mentor and manage the work of other fundraising team members

**Qualifications**
- At least 5 years experience in a senior Program or Project leadership role, including project planning, project management, and supervision of staff (in person and remote).
- Minimum of 5 years of grants management or proposal preparation and reporting experience.
- Significant track record in developing, writing, and managing successful proposals for institutional/public funders, donors, research bodies, and private foundations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international development or humanitarian project work, including field work, with experience working in Africa and healthcare-focussed projects preferred.
- Experience with Not-for-profit and Charitable organizations, financial practices, and ability to participate in the preparation of project budgets.
- Experience with results-based management and key performance indicator reporting.
- Digital fundraising experience, including a basic understanding of metrics, analysis, and effective marketing and fundraising best practices. Donor CRM experience an asset.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- The ability to be a self-motivated team player who believes in proactive and transparent communication and frequent collaboration with peers.
