**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated person based in Vancouver, BC with a strong background in event management to join the KindCo team. Having at least 3 years of relevant experience in planning, executing, and managing events would be an asset. You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, overseeing event projects from inception to completion, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Client Relationship Management**:Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients to understand their event needs, objectives, and expectations. Serve as the main point of contact and promptly respond to inquiries and concerns.

**Project Planning and Execution**:Collaborate with clients to conceptualize, plan, and execute successful events that align with their goals. Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budget management, and scheduling.

**Budget Management**:Create and manage event budgets ensuring that all expenses are tracked and kept within established budgetary guidelines.

**Vendor Coordination**:With support from an Account Coordinator, source, negotiate with, and manage vendors and suppliers essential to event execution, such as catering services, audiovisual equipment providers, and décor specialists.

**Event Logistics**:Oversee event logistics, including in-person site visits, setup, registration, signage, transportation, and on-site coordination to guarantee seamless event execution.

**Onsite Event Management**: Oversee event in person at events primarily based in Vancouver, BC. In some cases, events will take place in other cities throughout Canada.

**Timeline Management**:Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring all key milestones are met and potential issues are identified and addressed proactively.

**Problem Solving**: Quickly identify and address any challenges or issues that may arise during the planning and execution phases of events. Implement effective solutions to maintain event quality and client satisfaction.

**Post-Event Evaluation**:Conduct thorough post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and insights. Use feedback to continually improve event planning and execution processes.

**Team Collaboration**:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, design, and operations, to ensure a cohesive and successful event experience.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in event planning and management, with a proven track record of successful event execution.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling challenges.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules. (In lieu days will be provided for weekend work)

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
