**What You Will Do**
- Ensures guests of the agency are received in a professional, respectful and friendly manner.
- Ensures general communication is answered and directed to appropriate personnel and/or provide information as appropriate.
- Coordinates meetings, special events, conferences and professional development opportunities.
- Maintains administration handbook and agency policy manual.
- Provides administrative support to the agency across our 3 locations, including members of the leadership team, board of directors, volunteers and student placements involved in administrative duties
- Troubleshoots issues with IT and other office equipment and arrange for service as needed.
- Maintain employee access to and train staff on equipment and update programming functions as required.
- Maintains adequate office supplies and other agency inventory, while maintaining positive working relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Assisting in the maintenance of facilities including coordinating cleaning, repairs, ongoing preventative maintenance, etc.

- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
- Crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to work with diverse and/or marginalized populations.
- Advanced office skills including filing systems, reception skills, equipment maintenance and administration, IT troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience, or post-secondary diploma in related field, with related experience in the not for profit sector (preferred)
- Understanding of issues related to HIV/AIDS/HCV is an asset.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends in a variety of social and physical settings.
- A satisfactory vulnerable sector police check.
- Crisis intervention training, First Aid & CPR BLS all considered an asset
