**Payroll Administrator**

**Key Information**:
- ** Must have a minimum of two to three years of payroll administration or equivalent experience.**:
- ** Must be able to assist and support with all payroll administrative tasks and general office duties.**:
- ** Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Must be willing to work overtime when needed.**:
- **Hourly rate is dependent on experience.**:
- ** Health benefits, and vacation pay offered.**
- ** Assist in processing timesheets and producing pay cheques for a large number of employees on a weekly basis, including monthly union reports and remit payments for union benefits.**:
- ** Process wage increases per union schedules.**:
- Complete the new hire setup process within our company software.
- Input labour hours and balance time according to field logs.
- Process payroll weekly for union workers.
- Process terminations and issues ROE's when required.
- Complete union remittances on a monthly basis.
- Support other accounting functions with regards to payroll and employee cost allocation, which may include general office duties as required.
**Experience and Certification Requirements**:
- ** A minimum of two to three years of payroll administration or equivalent experience in a unionized environment required.**:
- Must have the ability to read and interpret multiple collective agreements and determine related payroll requirements, with working knowledge of payroll databases.
- A diploma or post-secondary in administration would be considered an asset.
- Have the ability to make quick decisions in a demanding environment, where your performance could have an impact on other employees.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills required.
**Education**: A diploma or post-secondary in finance, such as payroll or accounting or equivalent would be an asset.
