Newcom Media currently has opportunities available for dynamic, creative “Advertising and Marketing Consultant” to join its sales team. We have openings with our **Insurance Group.**

We are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative self-starter, who understands customer-need based, consultative selling and who has a proven ability to engage and influence decision makers. This is a entry-level sales position, with an opportunity to increase territory base. You are a creative thinker and strive to come up with strategic solutions to help your customers meet their goals and objectives. You are well organized, persistent, willing to work hard and go the extra mile to ensure sales success.

**Responsibilities include**:

- As an advertising and marketing consultant, you will be responsible for increasing revenue by selling advertising, creative multi-platform custom solutions for customers and sponsorships, across a variety of products.
- Pursue potential opportunities to sell online, print, custom advertising and sponsorships for **_Canadian Underwriter_** and determine the most appropriate sales approach with current and potential customers/agencies.
- Meet with customers and/or advertising agencies to develop new business and/or maintain existing relationships.
- You will prepare presentations, network with current and potential customers and service the needs of each account as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with your group to develop new revenue generating ideas and opportunities.

**Job requirements**:

- A true sales professional with demonstrated experience and success in a “hunting and acquisition” based selling role for digital, sponsorships and print.
- A strong understanding of digital advertising, social media campaigns, and multi-media campaigns is a must
- Must be willing to travel as necessary, to attend relevant industry events and represent **_Canadian Underwriter_** in a professional manner, wherever and whenever necessary. You must be willing to get involved and become part of the industry and be a valuable sales resource.
- 3+ years sales experience is required with a proven track record of success.
- Experience in media sales, both print and digital, is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience and understanding is an asset.
