The Development Coordinator, Donor Relations contributes to the development and implementation of SFU's gift stewardship programming for annual, major and endowed gifts and SFU's donor recognition & engagement programming for annual, major and principal gift donors. The role supports the donor relations team in the development and execution of gift acceptance and documentation, donor correspondence, impact reporting, endowment financial reporting, spending and compliance reviews, pledge reminders, naming opportunities, recognition society programming including communications and events, student and alumni engagement strategies, and personalized engagement plans.

Qualifications:
Diploma in a relevant discipline such as Marketing, Communications or Business Administration and two years of related experience in fundraising and/or donor relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Visio
- Proficiency in a CRM such as Blackbaud CRM
- Effective computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to interact effectively and positively with staff, managers and donors and administrators
- Ability to plan, implement and evaluate stewardship and recognition initiatives and programs
- Ability to work with information and records systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment exercising mature judgment and a high level of diplomacy and discretion
