Corporate Sales Representative

**Role Summary/Purpose**:
Based out of Calgary, the** Corporate Sales Representative** will be focused on growing Lufkin’s overall market share and revenue for the Canadian market. Products and services include downhole pumps and rods, automation, Beam Pumping Units (BPU) and associated services. He/she will focus on key decision makers in Calgary, communicating Lufkin’s value and differentiating factors and secure wins. He/she will do so by understanding the Canadian Energy market, our prospective and current customer needs as well as the competitive landscape. He/she will create a sales plan on growth targeting prospective customers and building upon existing and strategic customers. This team member will gain business by building strong relationships through technical knowledge, integrity, customer service and product reliability. He/she will communicate Lufkin’s value proposition, complete and shorten sales cycles and deliver the products/services to meet those needs and achieving goals as outlined by the sales plan.
**Essential Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Long-term profitable growth within Canada
- Understanding customers' and market segment needs
- Understanding industry trends, market dynamics and standards/regulatory developments
- Understanding competitive landscape and maintain competitive and industry analysis
- Developing and executing product line strategy
- Writing proposals in response to RFQs and RFPs
- Informal quotes while communicating our technical knowledge and value proposition
- Developing new products and service proposals and business cases to enhance our automation portfolio
- Participating in bidding strategy for key specific opportunities
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong technical background
- A self-starter with a strong drive
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in Canada
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to visit customers in remote locations as needed.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- SROD proficiency is a plus
- Proficiency on Salesforce
- Engineering diploma or degree with preferred 10-15 years industry experience; field and production-related experience is an asset.

Lufkin’s proud past extends back to the early 20th century when the Lufkin Foundry manufactured railroad and sawmill equipment.
