**Job Purpose**

The Subcontracts Coordinator is responsible for developing and negotiating subcontracts and evaluating subcontract performance. The position requires a strong team player with excellent communication, organizational and planning skills and someone who excels at managing multiple deadlines.

**Responsibilities**
- Displays a commitment to Waiward’s incident-free vision, values, and culture.
- Performs the procurement of third-party services and the administration of all awarded subcontracts.
- Develops, issues, and maintains subcontractor purchase orders.
- Monitors subcontractor schedule, performance, and quality, while advising Project Management of any possible delays or issues.
- Coordinates and leads subcontractor kick-off meetings to ensure all parties are aware of the specific project requirements.
- Exercises due diligence in managing Contract Change Notice (CCN) with subcontractors and updating appropriate paperwork accordingly.
- Coordinates pre-qualification of subcontractors.
- Ensures subcontract documents are executed and accurate in their entirety.
- Sets-up and maintains subcontract management files in accordance with departmental standards.
- Reviews subcontractor invoicing and identifies any discrepancies related to the subcontract.
- Coordinates invoice approvals by appropriate project personnel.
- Assists estimating by soliciting and providing timely and valid subcontractor quotes.
- Completes subcontract and purchase order close outs to facilitate timely invoicing of all costs.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary training is considered an asset.
- 3-4 years of subcontract coordination experience.
- Experience within Industrial Construction and/or Fabrication environments with exposure to scheduling is considered an asset.
- The ability to read and understand Construction and Fabrication drawings.
- Technical savvy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- A team player with a strong work ethic who can work independently and is passionate with regards to creating and maintaining a positive employee experience.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs.

**Working Conditions**

The incumbent is required to work in an office environment with little to moderate noise. The job may require the incumbent to walk stairs; be outside in inclement weather (slippery surfaces and cold); carrying objects, driving, and being exposed to normal office routines.

**Physical Requirements**

The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal for extended periods of time; and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
