Our company provides services in Home Automation, Home & Office Security, Telecommunications, Fibre Optics, Networking and Consulting.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As an Installation and Repair Contractor your responsibilities will be to install and maintain TELUS equipment, infrastructure and services. This includes, but is not limited to, copper and fibre optic structured cabling, television/internet/phone wiring and equipment, as well as security systems installation. While performing the work, it is the responsibility of the contractor to adhere to our strict safety program and policies, while wearing the appropriate safety gear and PPE. Once the work has been performed, it is also the responsibility of the contractor to assure customer satisfaction and complete the required testing and documentation to close off the work order. Key performance metrics are tracked and monitored by TELUS, and maintaining high levels of performance and high-quality standards are also the responsibility of the contractor.

**EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Technical aptitude
- Strong English language and professional verbal and written skills
- Computer proficiency specifically in Networking, MS Windows OS, and MS Outlook
- Ability to work alone, at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Positive attitude
- Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
- Highly organized with the ability to manage workloads and appointment times
- Care about providing exceptional customer experiences, overcoming objections, and handling both favourable and unfavourable customer interactions
- Normal colour vision which is required to work with colour-coded wiring

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (BUT NOT REQUIRED)**:

- TELUS/SHAW installation and repair experience a major asset
- HOME/BUSINESS SECURITY installation experience a major asset
- Fibre optic installation/splicing experience a major asset
- Sales experience an asset
- Customer service experience an asset
- Data/electrical wiring experience an asset

**REQUIREMENTS/WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE**:

- Incorporated business number
- Proof of professional and business liability insurance naming NCTRL Home and Business Solutions Inc. as an additional insured
- Proof of vehicle Insurance
- GST number
- WCB clearance letter
- Copper and fibre optic telecommunications tools
- Ladders
- White van/truck with ladder rack (7 model years or newer)
- Laptop/tablet (Windows OS)
- Cell phone
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Background criminal check
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
