**Role**:
The Manager of Perishables purchasing manages a team of perishables planners. They will manage a team (10+) of planners and analysts to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) goals, including but not limited to customer order fulfillment improvement, inventory management, integrated planning activities that enhance the customer experience, operational efficiencies, and supplier engagement.**Role Responsibilities**:

- Leads a team of Produce Category planners in purchasing perishable items for all regions and customer groups.
- Executes the perishables replenishment strategy for Sysco Canada with the Director of Perishables
- Collaborates with the Director of Logistics to maximize inbound supply efficiency.
- Collaborates with local Quality Assurance (QA) teams to reduce spoilage.
- Executes the training and development for a team of supply chain professionals.
- Works with regional QA teams to ensure the highest quality of the produce program from a supply chain perspective.
- Executes Demand Planning & Replenishment (DPR) strategies to improve service levels and minimize spoilage.
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with mínimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.
- Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.
- Enable, champion, and embrace an inclusive culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you)**:

- 2+ years experience with forecasting and inventory management processes and systems in businesses with high volumes of customers and products. IE: E3 Trim, JDA replenishment and fulfillment, Managustics DPEE, Manhattan Demand Planning & Replenishment (DPR) or IBM INFOREM.
- Information Technology/Applications development experience in a supply chain context is considered a plus.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
- Supply Chain Management certification is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Demand Planning and Replenishment (DPR)
- Strong organizational & decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition.
- High level of comfort with analytical approaches and quantitative methods to deal with very large datasets.
- Ability to lead and motivate others.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
