**The Opportunity**: The FSQA Team plays a key role as to production. We lead by example, through our presence on the manufacturing facility floor. As a team, we communicate the GMPs and food safety requirements and practices to the entire facility. We work together with the manufacturing team to produce safe food safely. You thrive in an environment that is fast paced and have a keen sense for continuous improvement. Your approach is collaborative and offer a forum where everyone feels comfortable to bring forward new ideas.

**Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life**:

- Create, design, implement, maintain written HACCP Food Safety and Quality programs
- Actively review the HACCP Plan and lead HACCP Reassessment Activities
- Lead monthly cross-functional HACCP Team meetings
- Conduct HACCP on-sites with designated trained employees
- Conduct HACCP validation studies
- HACCP/QA documentation review (paper and electronic review and verification)
- Provide HACCP and Food Safety training, orientation, and guidance to hourly and salaried employees, and visitors.
- Prepare programs and records for CFIA tasks
- Active participant in 3rd party GFSI Food Safety Audits
- Monitor for compliance to GMPs through on-floor inspections and audits.
- Support other roles in FSQA team as required
- Active involvement in day-to-day tasks to support operations

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Post-Secondary education
- 3 to 5 years of comparable work experience within a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP), Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)
- Personable demeanor with strong communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Team Player
- Computer literacy with familiarity using Microsoft Office tools
