Tenant Support Coordinator

**ROLE**

Reporting to the Tenant Services Manager, the Tenant Support Coordinator will work creatively with new and existing affordable housing tenants, who reside in Leduc Regional Housing Foundation facilities, to engage them in support programs. This position involves coordinating and facilitating support programs for the tenants of the building as well as providing one on one tenant support and engagement.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

1. Post-secondary education in a Human or Social Services or related field

2. 3 - 5 years of experience in Human Services, as well as experience in program development and volunteer management

3. Experience with related resources such as: Mental Health, Income Assistance, Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed Practice, Addictions Support organizations, and other related programs.

4. Experience and or familiarity working with homeless individuals.

5. Working knowledge of psycho-social rehabilitation and recovery principles.

6. Standard First Aid, CPR Level C/AED

7. Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.

8. Knowledge of the philosophy, principles, and practices of community development, social programming, and volunteerism

9. Experience with volunteer boards and the group dynamics within organizations.

10. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, the public, other government departments, community agencies, and organizations.

11. Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy, and patience under varying circumstances.

12. Ability to work independently and manage numerous priorities.

13. Strong knowledge of local, regional, provincial, and of government resources and supports.

14. Strong research skills

15. Ability to maintain confidentiality and diplomacy while working with sensitive information.

16. Knowledge of social issues, ability to exercise good judgment in working with clients and diffuse potentially charged situations.

17. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

18. Supervisory skills such as the ability to provide direction, motivation, and lead by example are considered an asset.

19. A sincere desire to work within the non-market housing industry to assist Leduc Regional Housing Foundation to achieve its Vision.
