The Northern Alberta YMCA is looking to fill the role of a Day Camp Coordinator to provide leadership to the Day Camp team and works with the Counsellors and the members to create a positive experience. The Day Camp Coordinator will supervise and coordinate all day camp programming.

**Essential Functions**:

- Prepare day camp rosters and assist with delivery of day camp brochures or other marketing tools.
- Work with Lead Coordinators and assist in recruiting, training, coaching, and supervising day camp staff and volunteers
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a guest speaker and/or field trip each week and properly communicating schedule and arrange travel for all day camp staff and campers
- Coordinate, implement, instruct and evaluate based on the framework provided by the Preschool, Child and Youth task group.
- Leading program planning sessions and evaluating day camp programming for all Summer Day

Camps for ages 3-17.

**Qualifications**:

- High-school Diploma or Post-secondary student in Recreation, Child Studies, Physical Education, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with children and youth in a camp environment is preferred
- Customer service experience is an asset - able to deal with parents, families, and volunteers
- NCCP Level 1 or 2 is an asset.
- Must have Standard First Aid & CPR-C prior to hire (the Y will provide support in registration)
- Child Welfare & Police Security Clearance
