**Position Overview**:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Resident Services, the Admissions Coordinator provides a coordinated and systematic process for all admissions to Concordia Place.
- To support Concordia’s purpose and values statements of offering healing and hope, serving the whole person and the whole community, with a spirit of compassion and grace.
- To provide services to all residents, staff and community members with compassion, respect, and grace.
- To promote the pursuit of excellence and unconditional care for one another and the community we serve.

**Experience**:
- Demonstrated experience in Long Term Care clients required.
**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:
- Bachelor Degree in a Related Health Care field.
- Registered or licensure with related professional body required.
**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:
- Appropriate C.N.A. Certification (or equivalent), for program area.
- Advanced diploma or certificate in Gerontology or Long-Term Care preferred.
**Qualifications and Skills**:

- College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
- Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Registered Nurses Act.
- Regional/Facility/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Knowledge related to community resources and agencies.
- Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) and other legislated acts.
- Roles and responsibilities of members of the health care team.
- Principles of delegation.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communications skills.
- Demonstrates critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
- Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.
