Your Opportunity:
We're looking for a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our dynamic team in the Orthopedic and Urology Surgical Unit. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of nursing education, spearheading the planning, coordination, and assessment of educational initiatives for our nursing staff. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering educational programs that adhere to adult learning principles, and ensuring our nursing team remains up-to-date with clinical competencies, organizational standards, and regulatory guidelines. From orientation to mandatory training, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating learning opportunities that promote excellence in patient care. Identifying educational needs and tailoring programs accordingly will be central to your role, encompassing aspects such as legislative requirements, quality improvement goals, and organizational objectives. Additionally, you'll serve as a mentor and resource for our nursing staff, fostering their professional growth and clinical expertise within our specialized patient care environment. As a change agent, you'll work closely with our leadership team to implement quality improvement strategies and facilitate necessary process changes. Collaboration with healthcare teams across various levels, from the unit to the provincial level, will also be key in ensuring alignment with broader healthcare objectives. Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
