**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers specific to the Vulnerable Seniors Support Program
- Address the needs of Seniors to assist them age at home safer, healthier, and independently
- Target the expansion of the delivery of volunteer-based programs
- Engage and form strong community partnerships
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments
- Provide training and orientation for new volunteers
- Supervise volunteers during programs, events, and projects
- Collect and maintain data on volunteer activities and specific program activities
- Market volunteer opportunities to the community
- Educate volunteers on organizational goals and values

**Experience**:

- Post-secondary education and/or 5 - 7 years experience, in community health or social services.
- Minimum four years experience with volunteer/community organizations.
- Proven experience in project management, public speaking, excellent verbal communications skills, and highly developed interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work independently and prioritize the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers and program objectives.
- Ability to work with management staff and support staff with proficiency in data collection, analysis and team building skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage volunteers
- Administrative skills to manage schedules, records, communications, and reports
- Access to own vehicle will be required. Mileage costs will be covered.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Work Location: In person
