The Facilities Coordinator understands that keeping a clean, welcoming, and well-functioning sacred space is both essential for enabling the worship of God and for the success of making disciples of Jesus.

Saint Benedict’s Parish is seeking for an ideal individual to fill the role of Facilities Coordinator who is responsible for leading a Facilities Team made up of parishioners who are trained and entrusted as co-owners of our facility, overseeing all cleaning, maintenance and repairs done by outside contractors, and managing larger projects.

The Facilities Coordinator is part of our staff team and will be supported by Noreen Smith, Service & Outreach Team Leader. They work in alignment with the Pastor and the Parish Leadership Team. They are expected to participate fully with the staff, including, but not limited to, team meetings, weekly staff prayer, monthly all staff meetings, and Leadership Summits. They will work on site with flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Developing and Managing a Facilities Team of parishioners to lead the following areas:

- Exterior (gardening, flower beds, etc.)
- Simple Maintenance & Repairs (replacing lights, fixing walls, painting, etc.)
- Security Systems (keys, fobs, cameras, etc.)
- Setup & Takedown (tables and chairs for events)
- Overseeing Outside Contracts and Contractors
- Regular Cleaning of the Facility
- Lawn Care
- Snow Removal
- Emergency Systems (fire extinguishers, sprinklers, elevator, etc.)
- Significant Maintenance & Repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Managing Larger Ongoing Projects
- Major Repairs (external/internal leaks, parking lot, siding, roof, etc.)
- New Construction (lighting, updating auditorium, foyer, etc.)
- Aligning the Facility with the Saint Benedict Culture
- Engage seriously in the spiritual life and participate in the Game Plan
- Grow in leadership and teamwork
- Display humility and teachability as an ongoing learner
- technical experience with commercial maintenance, repairs, and systems
- a strong capacity for time management and project management
- experience purchasing materials from commercial suppliers
- an ability to work with people on staff, professional contractors, and parishioners
- the leadership skills to recruit, train, and empower a team of unpaid volunteers
- an understanding of, and love for, the Saint Benedict vision, purpose, and Game Plan
