The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is a national research facility of the University of Saskatchewan. CLS produces very bright light to explore the nature and structure of molecules, and serves national and international users from academia, industry, and government institutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure network and systems infrastructure are operational and secure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues as they arise and provide support to end-users.
- Assist in planning and implementing new infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, network implementations, and new technology deployments.
- Monitor and analyze system and network performance to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Implement and manage system and network security protocols to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures for infrastructure systems.
- Provide technical support to end-users, including responding to help desk tickets and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to IT infrastructure.

**Required Qualifications**:

- A relevant undergraduate degree or graduation from a recognized two-year computer systems technology diploma program.
- A minimum of 3 years’ recent, related experience in IT infrastructure support.
- Experience with network and systems administration, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and support.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including network protocols, server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and security protocols.
- Knowledge of general computing environments and platforms such as Windows, Linux and VMWare
- Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities and ability to work simultaneously on several projects and to use good judgment in determining priorities
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Adept at remote and in-person collaboration with team members as well as end users

**Remuneration**: Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including supplemental health & dental, life insurance, pension plan, and four weeks’ vacation is part of a competitive compensation package.

**Salary Range**: The starting salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $92,000.
