Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Quality Control Manager is responsible for monitoring Langley’s manufacturing operations to ensure products are meeting established quality standards. The Quality Manager is responsible for continuous improvements to Redwood’s Quality Management System to further promote outputs that meet efficiency and quality standards.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The QC Manager conducts several duties that range from report writing to conducting inspections. The QC Manager is expected to measure product quality against established standards and conduct statistical analysis to determine how often these standards are met. Partnership with Manufacturing and Distribution Operations Leaders to drive improvement and deliver best in class quality products to our customers is critical to this role**.**

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Monitoring finished products to confirm their compliance with quality standards and rejecting products that fail to comply.
- Improving quality systems, reducing customer claims, RMA (Return Material Authorization)
- Managing and reviewing weekly Quality KPI reports and postings.
- Managing and maintaining Redwood Plastics & Rubber’s ISO 9001-2015 certification.
- Reviewing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all manufacturing shops.
- Training employees to meet quality standards in all areas of the production process.
- Promoting continuous improvements to lean manufacturing.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- **Skills Required**:_
- Comfortable working in teams.
- Ability to communicate with other employees about quality standards and how to achieve them.
- Capable of providing concise, informative reports that summarize key findings.
- Ability to conduct and promote problem-solving through data analysis, root cause investigations, 5-why analysis, and corrective actions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead QC Team. Previous leadership experience will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations of plastics and rubber industries is an asset.
- **Qualifications**_:_
- Bachelor of Applied Science (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of experience in a Quality Control position.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with an ISO 9001 Quality System.
- Possess some formal training in Statistics and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Lean Manufacturing certification is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
