This is a full-time position based onsite at our Highway Project near 216 St. in Langley.

**Your day to day will look like**:

- Review plans and specifications for daily activities.
- Assist the Project Superintendent in determining testing and inspection requirements.
- Arrange and review internal and external tests and inspections.
- Coordinate and schedule testing and inspection services with the project team.
- Monitor continuous inspection of work and materials to ensure compliance with QMP and project specifications.
- Oversee Hall QC procedures, including those of subcontractors.
- Compile monthly summary reports on testing and inspections.
- Work with the project manager on all things related to quality
- Review and report on Quality checklists, and test reports.
- Maintain an organized filing system for quality records.
- Address deficiencies and notify the Quality Manager.
- Ensure all project staff have current versions of relevant documents.
- Perform other duties as required by the Project Manager or Quality Manager.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- MUST be eligible to work in Canada - Valid working Visa, PR or Citizenship required.
- MUST have good English communication (verbal and written).
- 0-3 years experience in Quality or materials testing is preferred (new grads welcome)
- Education: Post-secondary training in a relevant field, is considered an asset.

**Technical skills**
- Strong experience with materials testing and test reporting.
- Strong ability to review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, drawings, and contract specifications.
- Experience in independent quality inspection and construction monitoring.
- Experience with highway construction is an asset.

**Interpersonal skills**
- Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to simplify technical materials and advise staff.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to establish positive working relationships.
- Willingness to learn and undertake new challenges.
- Understanding of construction safety.
- A valid driver's license.
