**Responsibilities**:
- Direct, organize and control work to administer medium to large contracts- Supervise a work group- Ensure work on contracts proceeds according to plans, procedures, contract specifications and quality- Check contract documents and review design for obvious errors- Approve work and progress payments- Check and inspect contractor's work with drawings and related contract documents- Monitor staff levels, coaching junior staff as required- Address contractor questions and misconceptions by working closely with superintendent and other construction staff- Keep track of contractor activities- Perform work within established guidelines, procedures and practices

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated Construction Administration experience as a Contract Administrator or equivalent of 5 or more years of experience with transportation projects- Either registration as a Professional Engineer or as a Technician or Technologist would be an asset- Knowledge of construction survey and layout- Knowledge of construction methods and materials- Knowledge of the requirements of relevant legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety act and Environmental Protection Act- Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, negotiation and conflict resolution, problem solving, and organizational skills- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
