**About the role**:
**Key responsibilities include**:

- Educate and inform the general public about the need for donors locally
- Filling up a robust contact platform to allow us to communicate further with these interested community members.
- Working with volunteers who are also looking to support the growth of the awareness about Canadian Blood Services.
- Identifying events/festivals and other opportunities to set up activation booths
- Organizing, setting up and maintaining the supplies for these activation display booths.

**Required Skills**:

- Experience with sales, promotions and/or marketing and dealing with the public
- Ability to initiate conversation and speak comfortably regarding opportunities to get involved at Canadian Blood Services.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while being flexible
- Strong personal initiative and a passion for the cause
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

**Education, Training and Experience**:

- Some post-secondary education, plus related experience or equivalent combination
- Preference will be given to those with an interest in Sales, Communications, Marketing or Public Outreach
- Preference will be given to those with previous experience with volunteers and volunteering
- Experience with use of devices such as tablets and laptops
- Experience with use of social media
