**Who is Native Shoes looking for?**

The Office and Finance Coordinator reports into two customer-first departments: People Experience and Finance. Known for being reliable, collaborative and proactive, you understand timeliness and accuracy of your work is key in being a great partner to your coworkers. You are a natural juggler, of multiple priorities that is, and recognize that both accurate data entry and throwing eco-conscious events help create a positive employee experience.
**What would I be responsible for?**
**_
Office and People Experience_**
- Take charge of general, day-to-day office operations, including office supply management, answering phone calls, greeting visitors, mail distribution, and ensuring all areas of the office remain representative of the brand at all times
- Liaise with building management, office neighbours and vendors regarding maintenance issues as they arise, including responsibility for safety and security procedures
- Act as the systems expert on office technology and People systems in collaboration with building management or vendors
- Support with exceptional new hire experiences by organizing pre-hire activities, preparing new hire packages and facilitating new hire orientation
- Foster an ongoing calendar of purpose-aligned employee experiences by proactively seeking opportunities for connection, actively participating in committees and organizing events
- Interact with staff across the organization to understand their needs, convey information and promote positive and respectful relationships
- Administer employee experience programs as needed, including the Staff Allowance, F&F Orders, Birthday & Anniversary Celebrations, and Everyday Hero Awards
- Partner with the People team to create and execute office processes and policies that create an employee experience that reflects our values
- Create an effective and connected digital workspace by keeping content up to date and making ongoing improvements
**_ Finance Support_**
- Retrieve/put together support as requested by the auditors for the Company’s annual financial statement audit
- Deposit cheques received in the office from customers at nearby bank
- Other ad-hoc projects as required
**Required Experience**
- 1+ years of work experience in an office environment
- Strong working knowledge with MS Office including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Energetic and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude, willing to jump in and help when situations arise
- Understand and be willing to put in the “extra effort” in dealing with time sensitive matters that may arise outside of general office hours
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proven record of taking responsibility and using good judgment, including exercising discretion and confidentiality
