**Position Summary**
Hanson College is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Esthetics Program. As the Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, development, and success of the Esthetics Program. You will ensure the program meets industry standards and accreditation requirements while providing an exceptional educational experience for students. This role involves both academic and administrative leadership to maintain and grow the program's reputation and student success.
**Your Responsibilities will Include**:
- Develop and implement program strategies, objectives, and goals that enhance academic quality and student experience.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Esthetics Program, ensuring smooth delivery of curriculum and alignment with industry standards.
- Recruit, train, and mentor faculty members and support staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest industry knowledge and teaching methodologies.
- Advise on the setup of classrooms and practical labs, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of the curriculum and enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to create a positive, innovative, and inclusive learning environment.
- Update and refine the esthetics curriculum based on current industry trends, student feedback, and accreditation standards.
- Ensure the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills through hands-on training, workshops, and clinical experiences.
- Conduct regular evaluations of faculty performance and provide feedback for professional development.
- Ensure that students are prepared for exams, and careers in the esthetics field.
- Foster partnerships with local esthetic salons, spas, and other industry organizations to provide students with opportunities for internships, externships, and employment.
- Stay connected with industry leaders to ensure the program remains relevant and meets employer expectations.
- Ensure the program complies with all provincial regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Prepare for program audits and reviews, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Develop and manage the program's budget, ensuring the effective allocation of resources.
- Recommend and purchase new equipment, materials, and technology to enhance the learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Admissions and Enrollment Department to support student recruitment efforts by providing program information and participating in promotional activities.
**What You Will Bring**:
- A minimum of a post-secondary Diploma in Esthetics, Cosmetology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in esthetics, cosmetology, or a related industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in post-secondary education or training is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire faculty and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry trends and advancements in esthetics.
- Experience with program development, accreditation processes, and curriculum design.
- Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
