**Position Summary**:
The Primary Care Manager is responsible for coordination and supervision of the Primary Care clinic, Chiropody and Physiotherapy teams.

The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of high quality programs and services that respond to the needs of clients. The Manager collaborates closely with team members and internal and external partners to deliver primary care service. In addition the Manager is responsible for budget management, and ongoing analysis and assessment of systems, structures and measurable outcomes for programs and services.

**Specific Tasks**:

- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the primary care clinic, chiropody and physiotherapy teams.
- Conduct all aspects of recruitment, supervision and performance management of primary care team members.
- Plan, implement and monitor services that respond to client and communities’ needs, and meet internal and external performance targets.
- Develop, implement and ensure adherence to primary care policies, protocols and workflows.
- Coordinate and co-lead team planning/meetings/training/education.
- Lead the identification, implementation and evaluation of quality improvements within primary care.
- Oversee the primary care team student/resident placement program.
- Working with Clinical Director, set and manage team budget and assist in pursuing funding opportunities to support and build primary care services.
- Prepare and present information and reports on primary care activities.
- Build and maintain effective collaborations to enhance primary care service delivery.
- Participate in external networks and partnerships.
- Oversee clinic infection control.
- Coordinate team case conferencing, incident debriefing and impact debriefing.
- Responds to primary care client complaints and escalations.
- Identify and work to mitigate risks and operational challenges.

**Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities**
- Master’s degree in health administration or other relevant discipline an asset
- Three to five years of management experience in an ambulatory primary care setting, preferably within a Community Health Centre or other community-based health service organization.
- Experience working with socially and clinically complex populations
- Strong supervisory skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with, coach and inspire teams of professionals and students
- Knowledge and experience in staff supervision, program development, implementation and monitoring, quality improvement, financial management, project management, and policy development
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills; proficiency in a second language is an asset
- Experience with an electronic client record system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to effectively manage complaints and de-escalate and manage conflicts
- Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams and organizations
- Understanding of health equity, the social determinants of health, anti-oppression, harm reduction principles and trauma-informed care
- Ability to work effectively with people of various cultural, age and economic backgrounds
- Demonstrates interpersonal, decision making, critical thinking and organizational skills
- Commitment to valuing diversity, equity, partnerships and advocacy in keeping with Regent Park Community Health Centre’s Strategic Direction.
- Knowledge of the Regent Park area and issues affecting families living within the Regent and Moss Park communities
- Must have up to date COVID vaccine for the protection of clients and staff

Pay: $79,525.00-$95,810.00 per year
