**SUMMARY**

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- ** Governance**
- Develop, recommend, and manage required changes to security governance standards, policies, and procedures.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to achieve defined security objectives and establish governance metrics for measuring performance.
- ** Risk Assessment**
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and identify gaps or vulnerabilities that could be exploited by threat actors.
- Work closely with other teams to gather information and assess the impact of security risks on business operations.
- ** Risk Mitigation**
- Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified security risks.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to implement security controls and measures to mitigate risks effectively.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts and adjust strategies as necessary.
- ** Vendor Risk Management**
- Evaluate the security posture of third-party vendors and service providers.
- Develop and implement vendor risk management processes to ensure that vendors comply with security requirements and standards.
- ** Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NIST CSF, FOIPPA, ISO 27001).
- Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices and update security policies and procedures accordingly.
- ** Security Awareness and Training**
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on security-related matters and best practices.
- ** Incident Response**
- Assist in incident response activities by providing expertise in identifying the root cause of security incidents and recommending remediation actions.
- Participate in post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement in incident response procedures.
- ** Reporting and Documentation**
- Prepare and present reports on security risk assessments, findings, and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of risk assessment processes, findings, and mitigation activities, security policies, procedures, and controls.
