**Job Description**:
We are looking to hire a
**Senior Business Analyst** role reporting to the CIB & Equity Research Delivery Manager to lead the integration of Cowen CIB and Equity Research. The role of the Senior Business Analyst is to provide support to the Delivery Manager on a variety of tasks ranging from the end-to-end delivery of the project’s requirements to completing required artefacts/documentations. Additional job details are summarized below.
The newly created role of
**Senior Business Analyst** will be focused on managing and delivering on CIB & Equity Research integration scope for the Cowen business’ in close partnership with the Integration Management Office (IMO).
- Facilitating high quality discussion and decision-making. Design and lead effective meetings. Create clear documentation and high-quality communication (verbal and written).
- Design and execute Business Analyst and change management activities to understand and assess the impacts of the integration across broad product, functional, and business domains
- Plan, manage, lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project in alignment with the business and/or enterprise needs and strategies.
- Provide leadership, and work collaboratively with stakeholders including Business, Technology, Risk Management, Compliance, and Finance partners to support the integration and changes to business processes, policies and systems across multiple Lines of Business (LoB).
- Document current state, future state and identify and document gaps
- Deliver work packages and project-related artifacts for the project with multiple stakeholders across multiple LoBs with the organization standards and governance.
- Possess an advanced understanding of business and user interaction with technology platforms (Confluence and JIRA) throughout project delivery.
- Provide guidance/expertise in alleviating roadblocks throughout all stages of delivery.
- Formulate recommendations regarding delivery approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-program dependencies, and other implementation constraints.
- Anticipate delivery risks/issues and mitigate accordingly, ensure timely resolution of impediments, escalate as required.

Provide effective challenge to existing processes and work effort estimates provided by impacted stakeholder groups

**Requirements**:

- Advanced understanding of the Capital Markets businesses, key functions of a US Broker Dealer firm, and the regulatory environment
- Familiarity with one or more of the following functional areas: CIB, IB, Equity Research, CRM, Sales/Trading, Operations, technology, risk management, quantitative analytics, or business management.
- Familiarity with a variety of financial product types/asset classes acquired through previous tenure in a CIB, Equity Research or Capital Markets role
- Able to construct analysis materials e.g. cost/benefit analysis, options decisions, workflows, etc.) necessary to drive high quality discussion. Established rapport with a wide range of senior stakeholders throughout the firm.
- Prior experience in organizational change management/delivery and project leadership highly desired.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to formulate concise and impactful methods of communication.
- Superior organizational skills, including ability to employ systematic approach for identifying and tracking dependencies, ensuring proper resolution of outstanding items, and structuring efficient stakeholder meetings/discussions.
- Ability to progress on multiple priorities concurrently while navigating unfamiliar territory and ambiguous/evolving circumstances.
- Aptitude for amalgamating and interpreting large volumes of information, identifying key clarifications required, and formulating next steps to proceed.
- Willingness to learn on-the-fly and evolve the stakeholder engagement model.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity.
