**Intern, IT Support (8 week term)**

Campfire Circle is seeking an Intern, IT Support to assist in the preparation of IT for the summer season at the camps and in the Toronto office for the summer.

This role reports to the Director, Information Technology.

**Start Date**:May 6, 2024

**End Date**:June 28, 2024

**Rate: $**18.00/hour

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Assist IT coordinator with remote and on-site first level support for general hardware and software issues on desktop computers, laptops, phones and audio-video equipment for 90+ staff in all Campfire Circle workplace locations within Ontario (5 locations including primary work location in Toronto) using an internal helpdesk ticketing system.
- Assist IT Coordinator in imaging new computers and setting up old computers for summer staff.
- Visit RL and Muskoka with IT staff to make sure all computers are updated and can print.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager or their designate.
- Assist in the cleanup of cabling under desks.

**ABOUT YOU**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Required Criteria: _

a) Experience or education in the Information Technology or Computer Science field

b) Strong knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office 365 Suite

c) A demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines and work under the pressure of time constraints

d) A proven ability to work independently with the flexibility to take on a wide variety of assigned duties and projects

e) A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

f) Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a natural curiosity

g) Detail oriented with great organizational skills

h) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong intuitive skills and curiosity.

i) Ability to follow ethical standards, show professional judgement, and use discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

j) Clear police reference check and vulnerable sector screening

k) Must be able to occasionally travel to our office/camp locations within Ontario (Toronto, Waterford and Rosseau)

In accordance with our mandate of creating a caring and safe environment for ill children and their families, we require that all staff must provide an attestation to having received their childhood vaccinations, and COVID-19 vaccination, and confirmation of a negative result in a two-step Tuberculosis ("TB") testing series. Seasonal boosters against Influenza and the most recent circulating strain of COVID are strongly encouraged. All staff must provide an updated Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Screening. We also require that all staff be currently eligible to work in Canada and for Campfire Circle.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

a) This role is primarily in person working 5 days in the office or on site at the camps.

b) In consideration of the population Campfire Circle serves, the incumbent is a non-smoker

c) This position may support the occasional Campfire Circle event, which can occur in the evening and/or on weekends.

d) This position involves some travel commitments, including some travel that requires driving through Ontario.
