**Payroll Administrator**

**Responsibilities**
- Enter payroll data of union and non union staff into payroll software, ComVida, on bi-weekly basis.
- Process employee deductions, time off and holidays
- Process employee benefits, including T4, health insurance and dental insurance
- Maintain employee files and records, such as employee records forms,
- Calculate weekly payroll by using payroll software
- Prepare reports on payroll status, such as weekly pay statements, expense reports or balance sheets
- Prepare paychecks and reconcile bank statements
- Process new hires and termination in payroll software ComVida.
- Update employee data such as rates increases, status changes, address changes, etc.
- Keep track of taxes paid or paid in lieu of taxes and prepare remitances to union,WCB,CRA,RRSP,EHT
- Ensure that the payroll system is working properly and accuracy is our top priority
- Assist in the preparation of the end-of-month financial statement preparation for the company’s annual audit
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Proven working experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role (1-2 years preferred)
- Familiarity with accounting software (Excel, Sage ERP) and payroll software (PayGig) preferred but not required. Payroll experience with Sage ERP preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and preferred but not required on ComVida.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour
