CRA's National EE Staffing Strategy strives to eliminate gaps for the four EE designated groups: Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and women. Where an EE gap exists at the time of appointment, EE may be used as an appointment criterion for permanent and temporary appointments over six months made through this process.
Employees are required to work on-site at a CRA-approved location a minimum of two days per week or 40% of their regular monthly work schedule. Effective September 9, 2024, this requirement will change to a minimum of three days per week or 60% of their regular monthly work schedule. Individual exceptions may be granted based on individual circumstances and the nature of the work being performed.
**Job duties**:Program Analyst, SP0453**
- Researches and provides information, technical interpretation, advice and guidance to internal and external clients and the public on current and proposed legislation, on the registration process, tax administration, laws and Agency policies.
- Analyses registered organizations' returns and supporting documents, obtains clarification and additional information from clients, identifies discrepancies regarding compliance and refers files with suspected fraud, negligence or non-compliance for further examination.
- Interprets, administers and provides advice and guidance to clients relating to disclosure of information under the terms of the Access to Information and Privacy Acts, resolves complaints, and confirms the availability of, controls and distributes severed documents to lawyers, accountants and the general public.
- Identifies, analyzes and monitors issues, recommends improvements and resolves problems regarding registration processes and procedures.
- Participates on project teams, working groups and committees involved in the analysis and development of strategies and initiatives including research, analyses, briefings, reports and presentations.
- Identifies researches and summarizes information to assist in the provision of accurate, to general and ministerial inquiries on the registration process.

- Interpreting and analyzing legislation.
- Interpreting and providing analysis of financial statements/documents.
- Dealing with external stakeholders and assisting them in resolving complex questions or issues.
- Developing communication products.
- Producing documentation for review by management or as part of post-secondary studies, such as research papers, reports, recommendations, or written correspondence.
