**What you'll do**-
- This role is located in our Edmonds Burnaby, BC office location.
- We are looking for team-oriented Co-op student who demonstrates strong research, analytical, stakeholder engagement- supporting various analytical and market research projects and initiatives.
- Key responsibilities:
- This position assists the Reliability Standards Assurance and Business Operations Teams. Activities may include:
conducting business analysis and market research; supporting stakeholder engagement activities; gathering, preparing and
- presenting data for review; drafting reports and findings; and supporting Compliance Program Services Team with projects,
- as needed.
- The student will learn about the utility industry and be given the opportunity to develop skillsets in the following areas:
- process improvement, market research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, presenting information and findings,
- project management, developing analytical/strategic thinking, and problem solving.
- You will:
- Working with Compliance Program Services, Team Leaders (Data, Solutions & Analytics Lead and Processes,
Governance and Reporting Lead) and other SMEs- Support with communication, bi-weekly newsletter design, SharePoint site redesign
- Help with documentation and updates to existing and new Compliance templates, presentations, procedures, processes
(flowcharts / steps etc.), Job Aids- Support in Quality Assurance activities and testing improvement engagements (Tableau, SharePoint, Hydro web)
- Support other Program Services activities like meetings, presentation slides and document reviews
**What you bring**
post-secondary institution in Canada.
- Strong research, analytical, project management, report writing and presentation skills
- Experience and interest in market research/business analysis projects, as well as analyzing and presenting data and
findings to project team members
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint).
- Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills and the ability to
work efficiently, independently and in a team environment.
** What we offer**
- As a condition of employment at BC Hydro, a background check clearance will be required.
- All positions will be hired first as a four month work term. For some positions, there is opportunity to extend, to eight
months.
- Students are expected to work at the job location for their co-op role and it is the student’s responsibility to relocate
themselves if necessary.
